Business Permit and Licensing System (BPLS)
Relational Database Management System used to manage records pertaining to the issuance of business permits and licenses. This system covers new applications, renewals, reassessments and retirement of business establishments.Its main objective is to computerize all applicable processes in the business permit and license assessment and payment system, without compromising government and internal guidelines and policies.

Specific objectives of the system are:

» To computerize the business permit and license assessment and payment records including that of the filing system;
» To computerize the assessment of taxes and other fees;
» To develop a database of businesses located within city limits, their owners and the corresponding tax payments;
» To generate reports and statistical data relevant to decision making and planning; and
» To increase efficiency in managing application and certification requests.
